Here we share our highlights from the show.

1. Glass and mirrored surfaces were a central focus this year. Iridescent and coloured effects were key as well as opaque finishing. Not only used for vases, lamps and small objects but also for cabinets, tables and shelves.

2. Industrial metals like steel and aluminium were key in both their raw state as well as painted in bright primary colours. Folding and perforating techniques were used to create dynamic structural effects.

3. Food and drink were a pivotal themes for designers, redefining the products we traditionally expect to see in the kitchen and dining room.

4. Chaotic and colourful pattern designs were a fresh update after several seasons of low-key surface pattern.

For comprehensive coverage of the show featuring over 25 trends in home and interiors products, our Milan Design Week 2015 Report is now available to buy for £350(+VAT in the UK) from our online shop.
